Musical gadgets Vs gaming ones

I'd like a snare drum for my boys as well as piano and guitars. Typical of me huh? Or is it a typical way to spoil a child? I do believed that my kids deserved kinds of musical instrument. It is way better than having electronic gaming gadgets in the house where they waste their time being unsocialised and just hide at their room all day if given a chance. Where as drum could be a family thing as well as guitars and piano. After all, we like to encourage them to enhance their talent in music. It is without a doubt the 2nd most relaxing activity a child can do after reading books that is :)
